Fifth-year senior Eric Anderson (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) continued his strong 2014 campaign with another impressive showing, throwing six innings, striking out seven and holding No. 22 Mississippi State (26-15, 10-8) to three runs in Mizzou's (17-21, 6-12) 9-7, 11-inning loss to the Bulldogs Sunday (April 20) afternoon at Taylor Stadium. Anderson also scored a run to help the Tigers build a 7-3 lead into the seventh inning. Anderson's outing was his latest in a string of strong starts, as the senior has now thrown at least six innings with three or less runs allowed in his last five starts, boasting a strikeout-to-walk ratio of 41-to-6 in those contests. As the leadoff hitter, Anderson has now reached in the first inning in 18 of 27 attempts.
W. Golf. Meek Earns Top 10 Finish at SEC Championships
Freshman Jess Meek tied for 10th overall at the 2014 SEC Women's Golf Championships at Greystone Golf & Country Club in Birmingham, Ala. on Sunday, April 20. Meek led the Tigers with a score just 2-over par to finish 6-over par through three rounds. The freshman from Carnoustie, Scotland led the Tigers to a 10th place finish as a team, tying with Florida to finish 49-over par in the tournament.
